The IET Hong Kong Manufacturing Forum (ManuForum) is a flagship half-day forum for engineers, academia, and manufacturing leaders, organised by the Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering Section of the Institution of Engineering and Technology Hong Kong (IET Hong Kong MIES), coorganised by the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU ISE).
For over 10 years, ManuForum has connected the engineering and manufacturing community through timely discussion, expert perspectives, and practical learning on emerging industrial technologies.
The Organiser
MIES is one of the 6 technical sections under IET Hong Kong, dedicated to serve the manufacturing, industrial engineering, and systems engineering disciplines and industries in Hong Kong. Aiming to establish a dynamic platform for both industries and academies to share latest technologies, knowledge and experience, we organise CPD events including seminars, technical visits, mentorship programmes, etc., for and with our industrial and academic partners.
Our Coorganisers
Having been the coorganiser of ManuForum for many years, the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University is a leading hub for education and research in optimizing complex systems. With a focus on people, technology, quality, finance, and sustainability, PolyU ISE equips graduates to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and drive innovation across diverse industries. Supported by world‑class facilities and strong industry collaboration, the Department offers multidisciplinary programmes in smart manufacturing, logistics, aviation, and engineering management, contributing to the re‑industrialisation and technological advancement of Hong Kong and beyond.
In support to the department, PolyU MILES Alumni Association has also long been a coorganiser of ManuForum.
